Typography
- Typography is the art and technique of arranging text to make written language legible, readable, and appealing when presented in letters, papers, websites, etc.
 - As a ballpark number, there are perhaps 300,000 fonts in the world. That's counting individual fonts, not families.
 - 1815: Vincent Figgins created Egyptian or know to this day as Slab Serif. The first time a typeface had serifs that were squares or boxes.
 - 1816 William Caslon IV created the first typeface without any serifs at all. It was widely rebuked at the time. This was the start of what we now consider Sans Serif typefaces.
 - It all began with William Caslon, a London-based type designer, who created a more refined version of the Old Style serifs first developed by Jenson some centuries before.
 - Caslon is a romantic and undeniably beautiful typeface, which makes all printed documents of this period appear professional yet elegant.

George Hurrell
George Edward Hurrell
was a photographer who was born on 1 June 1904, Cincinnati,
Ohio, United States. He was famous for his portraits of famous holly wood

interest in photography, and was aiming to be a fine art painter. In his
early years of his art painting career he moved to California where he became a
part of the art community there and he was greeted to Edward Steichen to which then George starting finding
interest photography. After his encouragement by the Newport Beach art enclave, he
decided to open a studio in Los Angeles.- The main subjects he uses for his photography is young and beautiful women, who have caught his attention due to their facial features and astonishing beauty.
 - The lighting used in his photos are usually centred in the models face where it mainly shows the face and hair.
 - The positioning of his camera is usually above the models shoulders and only few full-body posed photos.
 - Majority of his work shows a lot of focus towards the models face and blacked out the background so that the attention of the viewer is focused on the models and not the background.
 - George Hurrell uses precision lighting, spotlights, shadows, and hand-retouching on the negatives produced romantic portraits that became his trademark style and the definition of glamour towards the Hollywood movie industry.

Nation History Museum
In our media trip I enjoyed travelling to South Kensigton to go visit the Nation History Museum and experience amazing art and sculptures. We first entered the Nation History Museum and saw a stegosaurus skeleton. After we entered the bird exhibition I gained a fright of birds as I never knew that birds where huge compared to an average human. We had the privilege to go around the museum on our own as we were trusted by our teachers and to gather pictures for our 'Final Fantasy Image'
